A little bit about me! I am originally from the Lake District, moving to Southport at the age of 16. I have always had a passion for cake baking, my family would say I started as early as 6 years old perfecting my recipes, messing up my mums kitchen and scooping up the left overs from the bowl :) but it wasn't until I was 27 I decided to bake professionally.

Initially, I gained NVQs and a Degree in management which enabled me to become a Wedding Co-coordinator building strong connections with brides and event organisers such as fantasy weddings and VisitSouthport. I also worked at Smedly Hydro Passport Office in Southport where I started to bake for work colleagues. “Everybody kept telling me I made amazing Cakes and my Buttercream was Heavenly and that they have never tasted anything as nice or as quite like it before and I should start my own business so i did and welcome to HeavenlyCakes”.


I started to get allot of praise off colleges who asked me to bake for their families and charity events which gave me the courage to start up my own business called HeavenlyCakes. I was even lucky enough to be featured in their monthly newspaper after making Joy’s lemon drizzle retirement cake. And so I did, at the age of 28, I opened up my first business creating celebration cakes and cupcakes for all events and occasions. A little bit about my Business! I didn't go to culinary school, I am self taught, but have developed a learn as you go strategy which is what makes my cakes so unique. I have management degrees and MAs, Health and Safety/Food Hygiene certificates and a FIVE STAR food hygiene rating from Sefton Council. I also do an extreme amount of research using a combination of modern and traditional recipes with a perfected unique buttercream recipe. People will always find me drinking tea in the kitchen perfecting my recipes. To me baking a cake and creating different designs is not just a job but a passion and my life and recently I am becoming quite the perfectionist! By making cakes I can add value and bring people together.


HeavenlyCakes uses the best quality ingredients and values each and everyone one of our customers. We have specialised buttercream and uniquely designed cakes! Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a list of ingredients as I will be happy to provide a full list of ingredients for people with allergies. We also cater for all dietary requirements and have produced many vegan and gluten free cakes.
